Awesome atmosphere of total respect, surrounded by an eerie silence. Worth visiting to learn about Chairman Mao. Most of time, very crowded.

The bag storage is across the street in a red building with green roof. Don't leave camera or money in bag. Costs 5rmb. Leave your bag before walking all the way up to tomb and being sent back!

#1 thing not to do in Beijing. Two hour wait at minimum. The line is very pushy. You get to walk by the Chairman’s wax figure for maybe 10 seconds.
